Group H's draw in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) brought an exciting opposition, where Manchester United had to meet Paris Saint-Germain. Their last clash ended with an epic comeback of the English squad in France 1-3 and sent packing from UCL 2018-2019 season. The previous tournament's runner-up seems to be full of confidence to try to get to another UCL final and take revenge for the last pain caused by MU.
The new season of the UEFA Champions League finally starts at the end of October due to all the coronavirus obstacles. According to the latest sports news, Group H seems to be one of the most interesting as there are three strong teams that want to get to the playoff stage of the most prestigious football tournament in Europe. The last competition's finalist starts with a home game against English grand Manchester United, while UCL 2020 semi-finalist RB Leipzig will face İstanbul Başakşehir.
Even though there was no time to relax after reaching UCL 19/20 final game, PSG has to be motivated to take revenge after a painful loss to MU in spring of 2019. The comfort away victory 0-2 over the struggling MU seemed to be a done deal, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did an impossible thing and turned the Paris match into a 1-3 comeback with an away-goal rule win. Of course, both coaches say that match doesn't matter now, but PSG obviously wants to take revenge while MU to prove their power.
Will Cavani, Di Maria, and Herrera oppose their former clubs?
Since that time, both teams have met some squad changes. Thus, Ander Herrera joined PSG before the previous season as a free agent from MU, while this year, a similar step was made by Edinson Cavani, who changed Paris for the red Manchester. Also, Angel Di Maria, one of the attacking leaders except for Neymar and Mbappe in the French squad, changed MU for PSG in 2015.
However, the Uruguayan striker hasn't even come to Paris as he is still looking for his best physical fit and stayed in Manchester. Instead, Di Maria and Errera seem to book their starting-11 places for the latest good games.
Among other notable things is the absence of Harry Maguire in MU due to an injury received in the match against Newcastle. It forced Ole Gunnar to announce a new captain, Bruno Fernandes, although the Portuguese player was bought only the last winter.
