Arsenal’s Loss to Olympiacos: No Way to the Europa League

Arsenal had some chances to win in the first part of the game when players occupied the right positions on the field. However, their Greek opponents performed their best gameplay. Olympiacos’ counterattack by Mohamed Camara changed the situation. In addition to this, their defensive players were excellent at what they did. It was obvious that Olympiacos had a well-planned strategy and were determined to win, and their corner-goal was proof of this.

Arsenal’s Aubameyang and Leno, who tried hard in the previous games, couldn’t save the situation this time. Their miserable goals, lack of persistence in the game, and a big number of mistakes, unfortunately, led the London football club to the defeat with the score 1:2.

Arsenal were knocked out of the Europa League

It’s a great disappointment for Arsenal not to continue its participation in the Europa League. Arsenal’s head coach – Mikel Arteta – commented on the situation saying that this loss hurt a lot to all players of the club. They were focused on a positive result of the match, however, it turned out to be very difficult for players to attack a defense of the rival.

As mentioned earlier, football matches in Italy can be held without fans because of Coronavirus cases in the north of the country.
