According to the gambling news from the Supervisory Authority of Lithuania, the country can celebrate the decrease of young gamblers who exclude themselves from such services.
The Authority has provided the report, which shows that there is a year-over-year decline in the number of players (aged between 18 and 20) who have used the system.
Gambling limitation became widespread among women
However, the decrease in a certain age group doesn’t contradict the fact that the country has faced the problem of an increase in the number of female problem gamblers. The data confirmed that the number of women who had used the self-exclusion tool grew by three percent in 2020 in comparison to the previous year, from 7% to 10%.
At the same time, a positive tendency among young Lithuanians means that they have begun to approach gambling more responsibly. They can prevent themselves from problem gambling even without additional help from the government. It is worth mentioning that players aged 21-40 are the most frequent users of the self-limitation system.
