The most recent Super High Roller tournament took place in the Park Lane Hilton, London, and it was Orpen Kisacikoglu who took the 1st place and the prize of over €1 million.
Thirty-two poker players were competing for the first place and part of the prize pool of €3,040,000 generated from their buy-ins. Orpen Kisacikoglu, a British citizen of Turkish origin, turned out to be the lucky winner.
The final table started with 8 players, six of whom had a chance to win a cash prize. The first two to leave the competition were Michael Addamo (eighth place) and Igor Kurganov (seventh place). At that very moment, a few players doubled up and the future winner eliminated one more participant – Kristen Bicknell, who took the 6th place. Then Cary Katz and Wai Kin Yong, 5th and 4th place accordingly, left the tournament.
“Bronze” went to Ben Heath, at which point the heads up play between Orpen Kisacikoglu and Vladimir Troyanovsky started. It would last less than an hour before the lucky winner was announced. As a result, Kisacikoglu took home the 1st place prize of €1,040,000.
As mentioned earlier, the event #8 of Triton Million Tournament, which also took place in London, made the poker player Xu Liang £777 thousand richer.
