As recent reports and news about the gambling market in Italy show, iGaming has been extremely popular there in September.
The growth of online gambling revenue during this period is driven mainly by such markets as virtual casinos and bookmaking. However, it doesn’t mean that only these verticals have facilitated the overall increase as all gambling industry segments have shown good results in Italy.
Revenues are up, iGaming is thriving
According to the latest data, in comparison to the same period during the previous year, the revenue has increased by 25.4%. The casino vertical yield has grown by 29.2% (to 92.7 million euros), bookmaking – by 18.6% (to 152.5 million euros). As for the betting market, both of its sectors, online and retail, have raised. However, the sector of land-based wagering services is up only by 13.5 percent, while the online vertical has the growth by 24.1 percent.
The poker vertical has also shown improved profit margins, with PokerStars leading the sector. Poker tournaments and cash-based games are the major revenue items. Other operators have much lesser figures in comparison to their big-name competitor. Among them are Eurobet, Snai, Sisal, etc.
