Although the date is still preliminary, casino operators in Scotland have got the hope that they will open doors for visitors in the nearest time. The decision to set the day for reopening was caused by the pressure from the casino industry representatives.

The date is scheduled, but it can be changed

The First Minister of Scotland gave the green light to gambling establishments to reopen on August 24. This permission for casinos to return to normality is a part of the overall program of businesses reopening. It is worth mentioning that the country is in the third stage of the quarantine. In case if the situation changes, the government is eligible to postpone the date.

It goes without saying that casinos will have to follow the precautionary measures, including face masks for visitors and employees and social distancing. Eleven land-based casinos are located in Scotland, providing jobs to approximately eight hundred people. The Betting and Gaming Council Chief Executive has commented on the decision and has emphasized that all gambling establishments are well-prepared to guarantee safety for players and staff.
