The central match of the seventh round of La Liga was Atletico vs. Real Madrid. Diego Simeone and Zinedine Zidane’s teams drew 0-0.
The first half of the match did not feature many dangerous moments. The teams took control of the game in turns and sometimes kicked goalwards. However, those tries were not successful. At the end of the first half, ‘Los Blancos’ midfielder Toni Kroos broke forward twice but in both cases the goalkeeper Jan Oblak saved his shots.
In the second half, the match did not change a lot. It became clear that if a goal were scored, it would probably become victorious. The responsibility for the result and the fear of losing put pressure on the players who practically eliminated any risk. The only dangerous moment was Benzema's try to score a goal with a header but Oblak again did not allow him to do this.
After the match, Atletico is located on the third line of the standings, and Real Madrid continues to lead the championship race, being the only team that has not lost in the current championship so far.
