The Swiss Federal Gaming Board continues banning practices related to the illegal suggesting of online casinos and betting services to local citizens. Thirty-five new websites received blocking prescriptions, which has widened the blacklist up to 285 addresses in total. Even one of the announced legal casinos suffered as it couldn't buy out all of its name-related domains.
According to the latest casino news, online betting and casino gaming are gaining popularity all over the world, and coronavirus lockdown only has facilitated this progress. Switzerland doesn't stay apart from this process and also increases the digital gambling market. Thus, Grand Casino Luzern opened new online venues for suitable gambling and sponsored local football and hockey clubs.
At the same time, Europe's financial center is ready to meet all the needed legislation norms. The Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission (ESBK), which is the Swiss national board, continues blocking practices directed on illegal online gambling. ESBK added 35 more website addresses to the national ban list that suggest gambling services to Swiss citizens. The recent number of illegal remote gaming services reached 285.
How could the blocking of illegal sites harm licensed casinos?
Even though most of the online gambling operators were using Curacao certification, its requirements don't fit with Switzerland's gaming laws. The Swiss blacklist now contains a few interesting addresses. For instance, Bitcoin-based bookmaker Sportsbet.io, which is sponsoring English football clubs Southampton and Watford, joined violators' roster.
However, a more unexpected occasion happened with the name Pasino. Thus, Pasino.ch has already been announced for launching soon, now will meet some kind of rating decrease. That is because Pasino.com entered the list of unwanted online casinos in Switzerland, while it is not related to the upcoming Casino du Lac group except for the before-dot name.
