The latest news about the lottery market in Malta is promising, as the country continues its digital transformation in this gambling industry segment, and a new partnership between the National Lottery and INTRALOT is proof of this.
The implementation of this product is a big step for the Maltese lottery sector because it means that online lottery services will become available to players.
The National Lottery launches its Internet-based version
Starting from October 30, 2020, players from Malta will be able to use their favorite lottery games online. INTRALOT’s LotosXi will allow Maltco Lotteries customers to play such games as LOTTO, Quaterno+, Quick KENO, etc. without visiting retail shops. It opens wider opportunities for players as they can choose between land-based gambling and iGaming.
It is worth mentioning that online games are already provided on the National Lottery website. Maltco holds the MGA license to offer its users legal gambling services. Only adult citizens of Malta, who are located in the country, can play the LotosXi solution.
