This decision applies to those institutions whose license expires on the end of June. ADM has confirmed that the licenses will be extended to October 31.

This question has been hanging in the air for a long time since the government of Giuseppe Conte asked the ADM to postpone decisions during the coronavirus pandemic. It was part of the ‘Cura Decree’ (or Care Decree), an economic support program for Italian businesses in the fight against the damage from the pandemic. Termination date of Cura Decree was 31 July, but the ADM confirmed that they are ready to extend concession for gambling for another 90 days.

Still, right now the ADM is found itself on slippery spot, because of a new tender for gambling places that was found problematic.

The document envisages the reduction of participants in the Italian gambling market by more than half — from 82 to 40 participants. At the moment, the European Gaming & Betting Association requires ADM to give solid arguments and evidence, what is the reason for such a drastic reduction.

In other news, new taxation measures were introduced to the gamblers of Germany.
