GC Fines Intouch Games and Initiates Independent Audition

A licensed gambling provider that is represented in the UK by nine online casinos, Intouch Games Limited, received a series of punishments. The Gambling Commission published an extensive explanation of why the provider fell under the prosecution of the authority. The governmental body relied on three major directions that were violated: social responsibility, AML, and transparent terms.

Major inconsistencies and reasons for punishment

In terms of social responsibility violations, GC made the primary emphasis on the seven cases when the casino provider ignored suspicious clients and didn't apply needed steps to warn and block problem gamblers. A secondary failing was related to the inconsistency of internal guidance bonus approaches in responsible gambling guidance.

The violation's financial side was connected with the ignorance of enhanced customer due diligence rules and needed-level review of the source of funds information about the customer when it was required. Also, GC defined that the firm wasn't attentive when taking payments from the exchanges that were related to cryptocurrencies.

The last portion of criticism touched upon the ignorance of the transparent terms and appropriate practices that should be applied. Thus, the operator’s SMS didn't contain information about the maximum/minimum deposits and bonuses when sent to the clients.

Further actions

At the moment, the most serious punishment is the appliance of a £3.4M penalty to the provider. However, GC also initiated the review of the case by an independent auditor in order to help the company set a required level of compliance with the British gambling laws.
