English Rugby Is Now Supported by the National Lottery

The severe impact of COVID-19 on sports is hard to underestimate, and British rugby is among the most damaged sectors. The quarantine measures forced to stop numerous competitions and hit the financial condition of this sport. As the situation is far from recovering in the near future, the deal between the RFL and National Lottery has come in time.

The state's lottery brand is ready to pay for brand promotion even behind the closed doors competitions. Thus, the National Lottery's needed attributes will be around all the events in English rugby, both male and female directions.

The latter will receive even extra support as the lottery giant will be a title partner in the international games, including the match with Wales in June. It is also an important step as women's rugby has suffered the most due to the events' full stop in 2020.

However, the cooperation won't be focused on brand promotion. Thus, the National Lottery will suggest its customers receive tickets for rugby matches or related experiences.

National Lottery continues supporting British sports

That is not the only step made by the gambling branch of the UK. Almost two weeks ago, National Lottery operator Camelot announced wide financial support of Team GB, which will be participating in the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Earlier, the organization declared support for grassroots sports and other niche directions.
