In accordance with the new regulations, operators will be prohibited from making advertisements, promoting services and making betting offers to people who are added to the self-exclusion register.

The authorities will use funds received from gambling operators to pay the costs that are necessary for the creation of the above-mentioned register. This will ensure that operators make an important contribution and encourage them to protect more their customers.

According to the country’s authorities, sensible measures should be taken in Australia in order to preserve the citizens’ ability to gamble but also to protect those who face risks of harm associated with gambling activities.

As the authorities’ representatives claim, this measure encourages players to have some breaks in online gambling since it helps to change gamblers’ behavior and reduce the possible risks.

As mentioned earlier, the Ukrainian authorities have introduced a draft law on the regulation of the gambling industry in the country.
