The SBC Digital Summit gathered the most experienced and strong players in the gambling industry together. Experts were discussing recent gambling industry news, shared their honest opinions on the current situation in the market, and told attendees about how to cope with the current crisis.
Ariel Reem, a CEO, and co-founder of Genesis Group told viewers about his company’s experience in switching to remote work caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. He noted that this process wasn’t very easy for them and they needed to adapt to new conditions like any other companies, not only those connected with the online gaming market.
The team of Genesis Group faced many challenges and obstacles but they successfully overcame them. Ariel, as a CEO, needed a couple of days to think the situation over, realize it, and make the right decisions on further operation of the company. He also added that it was an interesting process: he had to take a personal approach sometimes and considered things that he had never thought of before.
As for changes in the gambling industry, the expert is sure that the crisis may have a positive impact and boost it: “The gambling business is undoubtedly moving forward and the pandemic can’t stop it. The quarantine won’t influence companies, which focus on their casino products, much. They should try to survive and continue operating because it isn’t clear when this lockdown will finish. For example, we have started working on a new product before the COVID-19 outbreak. It is a big project and we are going to continue its development and investing in it despite the quarantine.”
Ariel has also said that he is observing the maturity of the gambling audience. It is the main peculiarity of customer behavior during this difficult period. At the same time, he has added that Genesis Group has been always focusing on the creation of a safe environment for players where they can get positive gaming experience.
In the expert’s opinion, the main task set in front of gambling businesses is to care about customers and address their problems through the prism of provided services. Companies should use data-driven tools to track a customer’s behavior to be informed when it changes and apply real-time communication. It will help to establish contact with players and evaluate risks connected with problem gambling.
