Data released by GamCare for an awareness campaign shows that a large number of those under the age of 18 who have contacted the gambling awareness charity by phone have problems with gambling. This piece of information is much discussed by various casino news sites.
GamCare will give better support
The percentage of these users under the age of 18 with gambling problems is seventy-one. Other data published by GamCare say that twenty percent of people who have contacted the support center worry about their relatives or friends, while another eight percent of UK citizens who are under 18 have acknowledged that they have a serious problem with gambling.
GamCare continues to fight to raise awareness of their negative compulsive gambling habits and has launched BigDeal, a site where young people will find support if they have concerns about gambling. This new website will offer tools for parents, teachers, and social workers who have a close relationship with young people so that they can help.
What is more interesting, the charity organization informed that the lockdown caused more calls from both children whose parents gambled a lot and minors who had the sign of this addiction themselves. Also, its representatives are very concerned about the possible damage that it may cause.
