This spring promises to be very rich in the events dedicated to poker. Three tournaments have already been much discussed in poker news.
Although the pandemic doesn’t allow the poker community and professional players to meet during a land-based event, online tournaments are still in force.
$250 million in total wait for the most skillful players
Three operators will provide poker players with platforms where they will be able to compete with each other and show their skills. The total sum of prize pools is over $250 million, which will undoubtedly motivate participants to do their best.
One of the events is the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), which always draws much attention from poker players from all over the world. Last year, the event caused a furor due to its incredibly huge prize sum – $135 million. The increased interest in it and spike in traffic were mainly the results of lockdowns. PokerStars, the tournament organizer, is sure that this year will be even more successful for the event, which will be held from April 4 to April 28.
GGPoker has decided not to trail behind PokerStars and announced that its Spring Festival guarantees $150 million as winnings, which is a record-breaking sum. Besides, the event will take place on the same dates as the SCOOP. Partypoker will also contribute to April’s series of events. Its POWERFEST will be held on April 9-27 and will allow players to participate in a one million dollar main event.
