The final day saw 11 poker competitors left. Nevertheless, a sudden turn changed the course of action as Poker Kid’s former teammate Bertrand Grospellier busted Shaun Deep in an eight-million chip pot. The French poker player flopped the straight.

5th place would have been enough for Deep in Event#15 to defeat Negreanu and get his 2nd straight WSOP POY. However, fate intended otherwise. Deep finished third.

The main fight for the first place broke out between Campbell and Negreanu. Both poker players cashed in the Colossus at Rozvadov. For Kid Poker it was his 7th cash of the World Series of Poker Europe and twenty-fourth WSOP cash in total this year. Negreanu defeated Campbell and officially became the WSOP Player of the Year.

As mentioned earlier, Phil Ivey made his best at Poker Player Championship, however, he did not manage to put the prize money in his pocket.
