Bonomo gained recognition in the poker community only in 2018. However, this personality can be discussed not only in terms of professional play but also due to the pink hair he used to be famous for at poker tables.

2018 – Bonomo’s year

This is exactly the year when Justin became an icon in the world of poker. Thanks to his successful performance in different tournaments, there were times when he was on top of the rating of the most profitable tournament players in the world, having left behind Daniel Negreanu.

Before May, Justin Bonomo’s poker path was as follows: he had managed to receive prize places in 24 events, 10 of which brought him absolute victory. He became the winner of the Super High Roller Bowl – a tournament with high bets No-Limit Hold’em Poker, which was held in Aria Resort Casino (Las Vegas). It took Justin only five months of 2018 to earn $25 million in total.

Next was WSOP-2018 where the poker player added two more bracelets to his arsenal of trophies by winning the Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship and The Big One for One Drop.

Only Bryn Kenney managed to move the player from the leading position. Kenney won $20,5 million in the most expensive tournament in the history of poker – Triton Millions.

Justin Bonomo’s net worth and career start

Bonomo showed his first interest in poker at the age of 16. He managed to win hundreds of thousands of dollars not having reached 21. Justin became one of the first who gained recognition in the online segment. One of the reasons for it – his victory in PokerStars Sunday Million. Justin maintained the level of his popularity by writing a blog and posts on Twitter about poker strategies and published these materials while traveling. He also pleases his fans with regular updates on Instagram.

First results in live poker Bonomo started demonstrating in 2005. According to Gans Hansen, who was the witness of one of his first offline tournaments, at the very start Justin was unable to hide his emotions.

“It looked horrible. He could be read like an open book”, shared Hansen in Joe Ingram’s podcast.

In February 2005 ZeeJustin was standing out at EPT Deauville tournament (with a buy-in of 2 thousand euros). Bonomo took fourth place and earned €31,5 thousand.

A year later Justin was blocked at PartyPoker and PokerStars for using too many accounts. He stopped playing for a while and was forced to apologize officially. And it worked – Justin Bonomo restored his poker career.

In 2007 Justin tries his luck at WSOP for the first time and managed to win $156 thousand. In May 2009 the World Series of Poker brought him over $413 thousand and five years later he won his first bracelet in the No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed with a buy-in of $1,5 thousand and the prize pool of $449,980.

In 2016 at WSOP Bonomo did not manage to defeat Bryan Rust. In the final table he was second but the audience remembered him due to his bright hair.

Justin is currently second in the Hendon Mob database.

London 2019

A significant step in Justin Bonomo’s poker career was last year – his victory in the Triton Million London 2019 Short-Deck Main Event, where he received a cup and over $3,4 million. His main competitor there was Wai Kin Yong from Malaysia.

“The most difficult part started when there were only three of us left. There was a big pay jump between the third and the second places. Wai Kin made very high bets and was a strong competitor in general”, said Bonomo after the final.
